サラリーマン時代はPowerPoint、Excel、Wordを使いこなしプレゼン資料作成にはかなり苦労していましたし、仕事内容や各種活動はAccessを使って記録しておいて数年前の内容も即座に出てくるように努めていたものでした。そんな時にいつも感じていたのは構想図やイメージ図をAccessの文書の中に埋め込んでAccess文書を見るだけで解決できるように出来ないものかと言うことでした。勿論、大事な文書にはPowerPointなどでイメージ図を書いてAccessの中の添付ファイルとして保存していましたが、とても面倒で本当に大事なものだけに限られていましたのでAccess文書だけでは数年前のことを思い出すまでに時間がかかることもありました。そんな事もあり、文書中の隙間などにイメージ図や挿絵などを簡単にその場で加えてそのまま保存できる安価なエディターを待望していました。退職後HTMLの周辺技術の勉強を始め、その中でＳＶＧ図を知り、Inline SVGなるものも次第に知ることと成り次第にこれを使うと待望のエディターが出来るのではないかと思い始めました。Ilustrator、InkspaceやBoxyなどSVGエディターは知らない分けではありませんが、私の理解ではSVGエディターではあってもHTML＋SVGの統合エディターではないようでした。現職から離れて先端情報を得ていないだけでしたら教えて頂きたいことなのです。インターネット上に溢れるＷｅｂ情報として写真や映像が簡単に使える高速化の技術が開発され盛んに利用されるようになってきましたが、SVGはHTMLの中に埋め込まれており、普通に使われて良いような技術であるにも関わらずあまり利用されていないように思われます。何故、HTML+SVGの統合エディターが出来てこないのでしょうか。もう少しSVGを活用したら表現力豊かな文書がWeb上で有力になるのではと思ってはいます。

I understand that browsers may support SVG differently. Explorer in particular seems to be a poor choice. The only browser I’ve checked that works fine is Google Chrome.
